Name: Yuuchi Jinsoku

Occupation: Courier, Mount
Yuuchi Kinsoku comes from a long line of prestigious mount chocobos. Living on a large farm far from the city, she grew up loving the thrill of going fast. As a chocobo child she was able to run quite the distance, able to lap around her family's farm several times before running into a tree. Despite the crash her dream of running fast only grew stronger, training day and night to push herself to go further. Eventually, she found a job as a courier at age 20, and even managed to rise up the ranks as one of the most sought after courier in that company.
Wanting a challenge and to be closer to her home on the farm, she quit her job to join her family courier service. Joining her brothers and sisters in transporting goods, she discovered a love for ferrying people around, and would add this to her list of jobs she took. It was around this time where she met up with a male calico who befriended her, often hiring her when he was around. Their friendship grew deep enough that he even gifted her a cute bauble for her ponytail, which she continues to wear to this day.
Personality
Yuuchi is very loyal and protective towards her family and friends. Headstrong and brave, she would be the first in a fight if she sees someone she loves or cares about in trouble, and would (and easily could) beat down anyone who dare hurts them. While she isn't one to initiate a fight, she does know how to end one.
Beyond that, she's a bit carefree when relaxed, and has shown to have certain child-like tendencies like being easily distracted or excited, and acting first before thinking. This has also gotten her into a few scrapes, but the tall girl's quite the tank and could normally get out of most situations unharmed.
Finally, she can be a bit superstitious, and has a few traditions she abides by, such as scratching her left claw three times before leaving for a trip for good luck, or chirping twice into the mouth of a cave. She also has a slight fear of enclosed spaces, especially in deep, overly urbanized areas, and starts to flick her orange feathers to calm down.
Skills
Yuuchi is incredibly strong, and while she could easily punch through drywall with no problem, her kicking strength is powerful enough to go through solid stone without breaking a talon. She's strong enough to deadlift several kilos at a time, and as a mount is quite comfortable with people riding her on her back for long hours.
Her chocobo heritage also allows her to run quite fast, to the point that she could easily outpace cars. She's also very capable of traveling long distances without needing a break, even if she's carrying someone or something, and can cross through any terrain with little issue.
Finally, while not perfect, she is a capable close combat fighter, using her strength, height, and legs to create advantages when needed. She's also quite adaptable, using the terrain around her to create openings or, if need be, find exits for her friends if they're in trouble.
However, she does have severe tunnel vision, especially when running. While she can adjust to her path and easily course correct, she often misses out on smaller details or would need an outside force to draw her attention off her destination.
Accessories
Ponytail Bauble - A gift from a close friend, she ties this bauble to her hair to remind herself of him. It also keeps her orange bangs off her face while running, and is super cute. The white ball with orange and black spots also matches her friend's fur pattern, and while she has no idea how he got it, she adores it and is one of her prized possessions.
Belt Skirt - A leather cloth wrapped around her waist and tied to a faux gold ring, she wears this "skirt" less as clothing and more because it looks cute. Generally though she doesn't wear clothes other than this, as well as her mount harness.
Mount Harness - (Based off of
Hladilnick 's anthro riding gear here: https://twitter.com/Stedilnik/statu.....9889846484993/ ) A body harness with a saddle and hook compartments for carrying small sized packages, she wears this when on a job. Capable of seating one person, the padded harness allows her to breath easily and keeps her rider safe and secure especially when she's running at full speed.

Once again,
jkovuloverpuppy came in with an amazing and beautiful piece of Yuuchi, a chocobo OC that I've had in my backpocket for a while. Co-created with a friend, I wanted to make her a reality, and with some tweaking, here she is now, a member of my growing list of fursonas and OCs who inhabit my world. Expect to see more of her in future stories :3
