Some fresh recruits are doing a mock patrol in the endless, flat, featureless plains of Grenzaumarlu.
Our lad, Dalu Surgaja, is hauling a field kit, wearing the summer uniform - summers on this region rarely go above 20 degrees Celsius - with an unfolded field cap and some minor personalisation in the form of two pins. Such small charms are allowed as they improve morale greatly.

In the lore, the Odraani is a big federal state, made up by tons of different ethnicities, cultures, regions and such, and even though they all speak in Yirti, an artificial common language like Esperanto, their accents can vary a looot.

I like the lighter uniform he's wearing in contrast to most of their rather bulky gear, taking practical considerations for warmer environs. And we've seen the model of the gun he's wielding twice now, so should we assume that it's the standard issue weapon of the Pact's armed forces?

Yess, it's an Odraani colony, so the enviro, though cold, is habitable for them. They need special training to wear them bulky enviro suits which not everybody can pass.
