I wanted to show Buck entering the room almost timidly, Full of both hope and fear of what he might see. his wife dying? the baby lost? or will he see his and Meadow's most cherished dream in her arms?
We finally see a full look of the deers' bedroom, all lit by an oil lamp. I simply had to put an oil lamp in this scene.
originally I had envisioned the antler chandelier to be giving off light, with little fire flies in glass bulbs, but as Gabrielle was coloring it seemed it wouldn't match the lighting in page 11.
