Wow. So. What to say about this one. I came up with the idea to ask for a western dragon version of Nyst, and I felt gallivantcrow was a great choice. I wasn't wrong.
Aside from the forehead gem, glasses, and whiskers, the rest of the design was really all Gallivant Crow's. I loved the design he came up with so much that even while the piece was a work-in-progress, I was getting new commissioned pieces of this dragon fellow before this specific piece was even finished.
And it makes sense for this to take awhile to be finished. For one, Nyst definitely has that weird anatomy for a quadrupedal fantasy dragon (see: loves to work out and has a big diet). And for two, Gallivant Crow loves scaly flourishes. At least for me, it almost makes me feel what it might be like to physically touch the skin of this dragon.
In conclusion, I absolutely love this, and Gallivant Crow was great to collaborate with. Watching him render this piece over time was like magic. The details are so incredible. He was so helpful every single step of the way and put in so much work and love. Thank you, thank you. :)
