Takoda felt unusually relaxed after allowing her bare scales to take in the sunlight that managed to share its warmth through her curtain covered window. This brought the relaxed teenager to let out a big yawn before curling herself up in a ball on her bed and falling fast asleep.
It was an hour later when Takoda awoke feeling as if only a brief moment had passed her by.
“Oh, man,” she yawned. “I actually feel like I woke up on the right side of the bed for a change.”
Takoda yawned a few more times as her mind filled itself with thoughts of hanging out with friends at the shopping center, reading her favorite book series while lounging on her bed, writing her own stories on her computer, and times spent playing some of her most favorite video games. This caused her to not realize how she had made her way down into the living room of the house.
“Wowzers,” she thought aloud while itching at the spaces between where her reddish-pink colored fins formed the tiara-like shape on her head. “So this is what it is like to not feel super-stressed 24 / 7.”
Rather than giving her mind a chance to fill itself with everything that made her angry, Takoda headed for the entertainment center, picked up the pro controller for her Nintendo Switch, and set about being a happy home designer on her ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ game.

Everything felt wonderful in Takoda’s world until she started to feel bored of making homes for the villagers. She then remembered how her Nintendo Online subscription gave her access to some of the games her parents had introduced her to when they still had a Nintendo Wii.
“So lame,” she moaned upon realizing how Nintendo 64 games were only available through the way more expensive Premium Plan. “Why did they have to go and punish those of us who don’t have a Wii, or Wii U anymore?”
The white-scaled dragon tugged at her ear fins as she recalled when she had pleaded to trade in the Wii U to get the Nintendo switch. Her parents agreed and, with her saved allowance and money earned from babysitting, mowing grass, and performing other random tasks for people in her neighborhood, she eagerly headed to the shopping center to get the system that would allow her to play anytime and anywhere she wanted. The only downside was that all the games that her family had downloaded on the Wii, ported to the Wii U, and further purchased to be downloaded to the Wii U were no longer freely available on the Nintendo switch for her to play.
“Wait!” she cheered while striking a triumphant pose. “I forgot about dad’s old N64! I’ll just go fetch it from the storage shed, take a few of dad’s old games, and get my game on until reality has to slap me upside the head again when mom and dad get back in with Elliot!”
Takoda felt elated over how she was able to quickly resolve her need for a good game from a bygone era. She went about putting away the Nintendo switch before giggling like a happy toddler to head outside to raid the storage shed.

Takoda was feeling very happy with how she had managed to go from feeling absolutely unmotivated and angry to being filled with optimism and happiness.

“Where is it?” the giddy dragon girl wondered aloud to herself as she searched through another insulated storage container.
Like the feral dragons before them, Takoda’s family took great care in safely securing all things worthy of being in their hoard. The outdoor storage shed, for example, had no windows and a single entry point that was a reinforced door with an electronic lock. The walls of the shed were made of stone that was reinforced with a layer of insolation covered with weatherproofed wood paneling. The floor was wall-to-wall plush carpeting over a three inch layer of concrete that sat twelve feet below a rustproofed aluminum roof held firmly in place by industrial strength, steel beams.

The search for the N64 continued with no sign of the highly desired video game console.
“Wait,” Takoda said as a memory came to her. “Dad and I moved all the video game stuff to the attic over spring break.”
In too good of a mood to let such a setback ruin her fun, Takoda resealed the container she was currently searching, put it back where it belonged, and turned off the solar powered lights as she headed back towards the house.

“No-No-no-no-no!” panicked the teenage dragon upon forgetting about how the home’s security system had been set to its maximum setting by her family before they had left the house for Elliot’s playdate. “Why does dad have to change the code to both the front and back doors every month!”
Upon remembering how the flood lights would turn on, the alarm would sound, and the police would be called if she continued to break into her own home, Takoda ceased her desperate attempts to force her way back inside.
“I’m such an idiot,” she remarked while remembering how she only needed to call her family to get the backdoor code. “Mom and dad are never without their…”
Takoda’s ear fins drooped as her eyes widened with the realization of the situation she now found herself in.
“Kazootles…,” she choked while she struggled to breathe. “My phone is in my pants and I’m not wearing any clothes."

Oh yeah! Finally checking these out more. Haha, lots of details about the current state of Nintendo stuff! It’ll be fun up look back on and remember how much things are like these days. And good Takoda tried to relax, v but sometimes it can make things more stressful!
*Snugs* Thank you for reading over this fun misadventure, Oxnard. *Snugs* I've really been not on my A, B, or even C game as of late due to overthinking just about anything and everything. I believe, now that the In-Home Caretaker thing is resloved, I can breathe a lot more easily and get to focussing on fun conversations and creative sharing instead of being a proverbial 'lame duck'.

I find writing these kind of stories to be a lot of fun. They are easy for my mind to assemble through 'Imagination Television'. I also can get positively nostalgic for those nifty-neato things I got to enjoy when I had the eyesight to do so. (This is what makes writing about Nishi and Yosh fun and, at times, out-of-control. Nishi, as I have probably mentioned far too often, personifies the best friend I really had always wished to have in my Elementary and Secondary Educational days. I had friends, but close friends were hard to keep before they had to move away, or they decided to date a MILF.).
*Blush* I get emotional a lot, notably when it comes to talking with you, but it is really due to how you are and have remained the closest friend I have ever had. I can get over-the-top when it comes to complimenting, appreciating, etc., but I do not ever want to diminish just how truly poggers I am to have you as a patient and lovable pal. (Lucca is helping me to not overcompliment as to ensure I don't have any instances of giving reasons for folks to think I'm being fake.).
