Finally starting to feel good enough to start drawing again after three weeks of annoying intestinal problems. I had this like halfway done for like two weeks but I've lost a lot of steam from being sick so I guess I'll just publish this even though it's a bit rough around the edges. The stat scaling would make it so that while you're powerful enough to compensate for the lack of equipment and then some at a certain point you'll always be going last in the combat rotation due to having a Speed stat of 0 and enemy attacks are almost 100% guaranteed to hit you due to having 0 Evasion, however, at that late game your Strength and Defense should be off the charts, making you a damage sponge that can launch devastating attacks.
I also thought about a mid level passive skill that gives you a % chance of taking a hit for whatever party member(s) are beside you in formation that increases with levels. Essentially you start getting so fat you become a big blubber shield for your party members.
