Based from the episode "The invaders" from The Adventures of Sam & Max.
I like to imagine that Max struggles everyday with the sentient sandwich creature Sam forgot in the file cabinet, and that said creature loves to annoy him.
It looks like the sandwich found out Max's ticklish and now is taking advantage of that weakness.
I copied the bakground from the episode and im proud how it came out, and i got the idea for max's dirty soles from official artworks were it shows Sam with dirty feet, i though it would look better

Hoooo, impressive stuff here! ^ ^
I definitely wasn't expecting a Sam & Max piece from you, but as usual, you knock it right out of the office!
I'm honestly really impressed with this one. Not only does it have a good twist on source material, not only does it have really nice shading and colors, but the perspective, scene, and lineart are all done wonderfully well, keeping that quality control on your work, as you're known to do.
Alright, lemme get my favorite detail, or details out of the way first. Those feet there. Maaan~ <3
I'm in astonishment over the great amount of detail on Max's feet. With every little inch of those soles, you can see the subtle darker tone to those feet, being more and more obvious when you compare it to the rest of Max. Say his head or hands. And you even went through the trouble of adding detail to his black pads! Gyaah- Love itt~
And we've even got one of my favorite details, the heckin' makeshift toeties done by the tentacles~ Gracious stuff, good gosh~
As for the rest well, there's alot to go over!
Say for instance Max's expression, and how if you zoom in a bit, you can notice the lil' thin lines around his eyes, giving that more hysterical look. And if you weren't sold on that idea already, Max's got that wide toony mouth open as he cackles about, clearly not expecting this, and you really know how to communicate that well with your art.
I actually also like the hands! They're very large and pudgy, and the fingers have this nice roundness to them. The arms and hands leading into the fingers have fine proportion, and the fingers themselves, specifically the left kinda bend into an arc, and wiggle about in a more exaggerated way.
Honestly his head looks ripped right from the show, but thing is, it even then still has your own unique twist on it.
You've also got the shading here, and for some areas, the very, veeery subtle wrinkles, which I do try to do with my work, but you've really got it down.
Also, I do appreciate the chaotic nature of those tentacles, all being very unique, and none sharing any position or anything of the sort.
You got me again Grien, great stuff, all around buddy~ uwu

If it's anthropomorphic , cute, big or small and has nice feet, they'll be added on my tickle list, and it's a long list with many names already on it XD
YES, the feet!!! one of the details that i'm proud of.
I really wanted to make them look soft and expressive to highlight how sensitive they really are, so sensitive that just single stroke from one tentacle down that long arched sole is enough to make Max laugh.
Max probably doesn't wash his feet often as the cartoon and games imply so that's why i went for a dirty look.
And i added the motion lines(is that what they are called?) to show how Max is struggling trying to break free of the tentacle's grasp.
I appreciate your comments Echo, and thank you so much again for your support and kind words

Aww, this is extremely cute! Of the pair, I almost always prefer Sam and tend not to find Max's design to be nearly as appealing. This picture absolutely proves me wrong, though! From his expression to his toes, he looks great! And it's even better that you reference something from the show like that ;) This is really well-done!
