Happy pride month!

The furry fandom has been my home for almost 14 years now, and in that time I've come to learn many things about myself. Just being exposed to a certain furry art piece (the original picture of my now fursona) made me realize at a young age that I was, in fact, gay. That explained a lot of questions I had about myself at the time that I never could, or never would, have answered by myself growing up in a deeply religious environment in the southern US. This community of people has led me to many fantastic friends that I'll cherish for the rest of my life; and with this fandom being the reason I figured out I was gay, demi, and many flavors of other things, I'll probably associate pride month with the fandom and my friends forever.

All that to say... pride to me is remembering the struggles we all deal with to be accepted, but also knowing that I have this wonderful community and friends that'll always support me for who I am, and for that, I'm grateful.
