Christmas Gift for Jenova, a good friend of mine who's always had a listening ear and a shoulder to rest on. They've helped me a lot over this year to work through certain issues I was having in life, and I treasure that dearly. They said they were in a mood for Birds and Inflatables, something I was more than happy to deliver on this Christmas~.

A Vibrant Gift

Christmas had come, and same as before, Jenova awoke to find a Present waiting for her on her couch, this time colored a vibrant yellow with orange ribbons.

Opening it up, this time Jenova found a… nozzle? No ribbons, or surprise gas… just a plain ordinary pooltoy nozzle. She knew it was probably enchanted, but the girl couldn't help but pick up the nozzle and take it out of the box to have a closer look, curious as to what it's purpose could be…

Like a magnet, the nozzle accelerated out of the box, embedding itself in her shoulder, before immediately popping open, an audible hissing sound filling the air as Jenova felt her arm start to… inflate? Before her eyes, she watched it slowly swell, her skin gaining a vinyl sheen as it turned a vibrant yellow, growing wider and wider, the changes swallowing her fingers as they started to swell and lose their definition, until finally with a ‘Pop!’ Her arm exploded out into a large inflatable wing!

And yet the hissing didn't stop, this time coming from behind her. Her wing arm unresponsive, Jenova was forced to feel around with the other, soon discovering another valve, this time attached to her butt! She could already feel it starting to swell and fill with air, but found closing the valve to be much harder than expected, her fingers just seeming to slip and slide off the piece of plastic! Pulling her hand back, she realised it had already devolved into a set of puffy yellow mock feathers, the changes moving slowly up her arm, until it too had expanded into yet another inflatable wing attached to her side.

With nothing to stop the valve, she felt the pressure build in her butt, until finally with a loud ‘POP!’, it released all at once, as a large poofy chocobo tail exploded from out of her pants!

Jenova's lips started to puff up, turning orange as they fused together, every attempt to speak just coming out as a ‘Squirk!’ or ‘Kweh!’ as her face swelled up into a large inflatable beak! And it didn't take long for the rest of her head to start to follow, pressure rising as it swelled larger to near cartoonist proportions, and yet, feeling lighter than ever, as her hair turned a familiar yellow, strands fusing together as they swelled, popping out into inflatable feathers

Down below, a new valve sprouted from Jenova's thigh, quickly inhaling air as both her legs started to swell, turning to yellow vinyl just like the rest of her body, while her feet underwent more drastic changes, turning the same vibrant orange as her beak as her toes fused together, turning a pure white as they inflated into two large talons attached to her new avian feet, a third popping out from her heel.

As the changes reached her torso, Jenova felt her body start to pitch forward, as her centre of gravity shifted alongside her figure, as her hips were forced to either side of her body, just in time for it to take a horizontal stance. Her chest swelled forwards, small bumps of mock feathers fluff forming along its surface, as her head was shifted back along its length, becoming rounder in shape, as her eyes grew wide and cartoonish, irises turning a vibrant sky blue as they flattened against her face, now simply printed onto the vinyl surface. Her wings curled inwards, resting against either side of her new chocobo body, as the vinyl fused, solidifying them into their new permanent position

On the back of her widening torso, the plastic began to shift and swell once more, gaining a brown hue as an inflatable saddle sprouted up out of nowhere, joined by two black lumps on either side. Handles, to help her rider climb aboard!

The changes seemed to be done, but there was one last surprise for Jenova as her haunches suddenly folded backwards! After all, she was a chocobo for swimming, not running, her legs needed to be in the proper position to ensure a stable ride across the waves. Of course, this meant there was now nothing holding her up, as her air filled body suddenly feel to meet the ground.

Instead of a ‘thunk’, she instead heard a ‘Splash!’ as she found herself suddenly bobbing atop the waters of the pool. Up and down, up and down, as unbeknownst to her, a small information patch appeared on the side of her leg. ‘Chocobo Pooltoy. Handle with care. Suitable for ages 4+.’ And just in time for the Christmas Pool Party it seemed! Friends and strangers showed up to have a fun time at the pool, swimming, playing games, and riding and lounging on the inflatables, something Jenova was more than happy to provide in her new form. Perhaps she'd stay like this for a little longer~
