drartielLinked above is a song that I think every girl should hear.
It's kinda funny sometimes, having a little creature, so much like you and at the same so different, but beautiful in her own way. So many times that I'd lift her up and look into those beautiful purple eyes, watch her smile at me and flap those little frills of hers, and I'd answer by smiling back and flapping mine. It's our little language, that only we speak. One of many bonds.
Watching her grow and being part of her everyday life is so fascinating. She reminds me of myself in so many ways, and it makes me think of what my mom must have endured, and it makes me giggle and admire the patience she had with me. Especially when this little critter is never as playful as when its bedtime and time to lay still in bed. For her there's no better time to ambush her siblings and even give her mom a nip or two before she's nudged down into the blankets. How she struggles against it before she gets her little snoot kissed and her mom brings out the story book. Her mom loves reading stories and she does it with passion, acting out whats going on in the book, and little Addy loves it. And before you know it, she's curled up in a little bun, eyes closed and snoozing peacefully, resting her head against one of her siblings.
But when she bites my tail, she gets a bap on the nose. There are limits, and tails are holy. She's fierce, brave, overflowing with energy and somewhat emotionally stunted, just like her mom was at the same age. But she learns as she grows, and from being a bitey little monster she's now a caring, protective sweetheart. But still the fiercest of the lot when she needs to~
