I think if Mufasa were alive, he would have a very strong moral influence on Simba. It's hard to grow and develop when such a strong example is around. It could really be demotivating. I want to continue this reasoning. I think if there was no Uncle Scar, he would have had to be invented. Perhaps Simba would have taken his place?
