A friend of mine on DA offered to draw something for me because I was her 2000th pageview. She's also doing the 100 picture challenge that's been going around, so she'll use this to fill the Magic slot.

Even with my way with words, I was unable to convey the position Amaroq would be standing in. Therefore, she asked me to draw a stick figure of the position.

I went a little further and drew like, a full pose. I know it sucks and I screwed up on the anatomy (even forgetting his tail), but I'm still happy with it. Mostly because it's the first attempt I've ever made to draw on a computer, and because I think I got a nice effect with the Kinetic Shield and especially the fireball. Those were fun. Especially the fireball.

I designed Amaroq's magic from scratch, so it is very different than other magic out there. One difference is that he must focus on heartwarming thoughts and emotions, as the inner warmth is his spirit generating excess spiritual energy that he can use. Therefore, he needs to have a warm, happy expression on his face when he's using his magic. I feel I conveyed that expression well, especially in his eyes. I actually referenced the Angelic Telenine from the Subeta pet site when I drew the eyes.

Drawn with a mouse in GIMP. Had some fun with the blur, smudge, and in the shield's case particularly, the dodge tool. Used a layer for the fireball so I wouldn't smudge/blur Amaroq's hand.
