That title applies both to the train in the shot, and the one from which I was taking it! :)
Here is my long-overdue summary of my wonderful weekend at Furnal Equinox in Toronto! Day by day, I'll be posting my experiences to accompany a photo taken on each day.
I woke up rather late this morning, and you'll never guess where I went for breakfast! :D Though unlike in previous days, I decided to eat and drink it, and watch the lobby as people packed up and left. In particular, I had a good long chat with
pakesh, who as the first chair of Furnal Equinox had plenty of helpful advice for my own... upcoming project. ^^ I also ran into a couple of the guests, and bade them farewell, as well as plenty of staff who'd worked so hard over the weekend, and deserve the biggest hugs in the world.
Getting to around lunchtime, I met up with S00t, Kindle, Psalm, and Chewy, and together we headed out to the Firkin Pub, and British-style restaurant not far from the hotel. There we sat and chatted for a good while before they had to head to the airport, to get their flight home. I therefore headed back to the hotel, where I met up with Twitchy, her partner, and a couple of other friends, who wondered where would be a good place to get their own lunch. So, back to the Firkin Pub we went, and sat at the exact same table I'd left about half an hour before. Rest assured, dear reader, I didn't not have a second lunch, but rather got a drink while we chatted and they ate.
With my departure time fast approaching, it was time for me to hop onto the UP Express train to the airport. I checked in, bought some refreshments for the flight, and milled around until it was time to board. To my relief and joy, the middle seat in the bank of three in which I was sitting was free, with a rather nice old lady from the Isle of Wight sat in the aisle seat. So, I stored my bag under the middle seat, and looked forward to a flight of comfort and rest. After the meal was served soon after our on-time departure, I got out one of the Furnal Equinox blankets, draped it over my head, and nodded off to the sound of the engines.
Hope you enjoy!
