Special shoutout to fellow artist Nick Demakes, who I've met at the Watch City Steampunk Festival. I did some gift art for him starring Reaper the Bat, mascot of the HILL's Belfry Point Phantoms, in the style of a collectible sports card.
Nick is an artist known for an art series called Gentlemen Bats, which consists of portraits of bat characters (and other animal characters) many of which in Victorian Era outfits. His art was recently on exhibit at the Salem Art Gallery in Salem, MA. Also in Salem is an exhibit on Bats at the Peabody Essex Museum where his work is currently on display.
