this is another punch bowl drink, and it seemed to be differnt from the norm and I happened to have all the stuff I needed on hand so I made me a batch
It was between this, never split the party or the pool of radiance... I honestly wanted to make the memaids lagoon but I didn't have prosseco
So if you need a little spice in your life check out
~faccc2 then settle down for nice cool cup of heat
Elemental plane of fire
Ingrediants
1 small seedless watermelon (about 5 pounds) peeled and cubed
2 cups sparkling water
(or you can skip this step and get a bottle of simply watermelon juice. there is more to it then watermelon but it is easier and if you do I suggest using about 4 to 5 cups)
2 jalapenos
8 ounces lime juice
16 ounces tequila
1/3 cup sugar
tajin or similer spice blend
salt
and lime wedges for garnish
1. combine melon and sparkling water and blend till smooth (30-45 seconds)
2 strain pulp through a seive into punch bowl (or just add the watermelon juice)
3. chop jalapenos into coins shaking loose excess seeds
4. add lime juice, tequila, sugar, and jalapenos to the bowl and stir
5. chill until ready to serve
6. combine spice blend and salt in a small bowl, run a lime wedge over the rims of you punch glasses before dipping the rims into the spice blends
7. portion the punch out into your cups and enjoy
this ones again quite nice its got a heavy green front flavor with the watermelon and jalapeno and the tequila burn mixes to linger with the jalapeno after taste its nice. the spiced rim again it does add to the drink but its not needed its fun either way
I let mine sit in the fridge over night letting those peppers infuse the whole drink and I do think that added some to the heat. but its not an in your face burn rather a mellow after glow that lingers for just a bit
PS: sorry I know thats a crappy rim job (ha ha) but I've never don't a drink with a salt rim before
