When you first play Golden Treasure, it's tempting to see MTB as being another classic angry dragon. "Here we go, yet another Smaug archetype," right? But if you look past the fierce, militaristic speeches, MTB holds a deep, protective care for both Draak-Kin and Goodbeast life, and has been fighting on behalf of Earth ever since the Skyfall War. That's dedication!
Darktooth might initially appear wise for avoiding a fight he cannot win. But look closer, and his retreat reveals a selfish streak. "Sorry, can't save all of you, so I'm settling for only saving those I like best," he essentially declares. In any other context, this is a failure of leadership.
As for Allmother... well, Allmother is Pinkie Pie in Draak-Kin form.
