Hoshinaru is the son of Momoshiki Otsutsuki and a surrogate mother (Akina Otsutsuki) in my original story.
He was raised on Earth by Momoshiki along with his mortal partner and vessel Kyo Jinja, and despite his appereance Hoshinaru's personality doesn't take after his father's (for the most part).
Although he is cynical and destructive by nature, the Otsutsuki is fond of mortals and terrestrial lifeforms and enjoys hobbies like knitting, cooking and gardening.
However, he has a double life as a rogue celestial being that exclusively feeds off of other Otsutsuki behind his clan's back.
Ostracized by his kin since he was young due to being raised on Earth, Hoshinaru refused to eat chakra after Momoshiki showed him how to harvest it, mercilessly killing his pets in the process; after this, Hoshinaru tried to exclusively source his energy from mortal food, with no sucess.
Questioning his existence and the purpose of relentless power seeking he turned against his people while keeping a nearly flawless facade to not to let his parents find anything out.
The cannibalistic Otsutsuki takes immense pleasure into "cleansing the universe from parasites" but also deals with a lot of inner turmoil and an identity crysis.
Although he cannot feel emotions like a human would he has learned to be rather empathetic and analytic. He's fiercely protective of his family. He's melancholic and soft-hearted.
