I would agree with you on that statement also now that most American film studios have stopped making proper movies. Fortunately, the public domain is growing when the copyright restrictions of the earlier films are being removed from the classics of the 1920's and the 1930's later on. Who knows? Maybe most of the Merrie Melodies would teach future animators and writers to produce a proper cartoon when the black and white shows can enter the public domain every 12 months or less in this year.... Either that or make commentaries on the films without the copyright restrictions and attorneys interrupting the progress of a video review of most classics.
