A 16×20” original acrylic painting on canvas depicting a scene set in San Diego’s offshore kelp forest. A harbor seal and a garibaldi hide from friends among the kelp fronds.
Water is immensely healing and this painting was somewhat of a meditation and very calming to create. In the summer I like to snorkel and swim locally and this is the type of stuff I see. I was encouraged by another local artist to try painting bigger as I usually paint quite small, and this was the result. In the listing you can see a photo of me holding the painting for scale.
