Yeah I uh... I don't think anyone can fix that.
Wow it's been a minute. But I'm still around and yes I still think about this silly story all the time, and at long last I've made a version of Sarah that I actually enjoy.
I've been working pretty hard to improve so hopefully it shows. I think I'm *finally* nailing down a style I'm happy with that doesn't take eons to render and still gives a good result, and I'd like to ((eventually)) rework Deerly Beloved into a visual comic or novel of some sort. Although, at this point the story itself will be very different from the original -- still the same basic story beats but more palatable for a general audience (I know, boring) and for there to be some really great character development moments for Sarah. I wanna focus a lot more on how someone with a fulfilling life, a career, a spouse, etc. would actually adapt to this sort of change and grow to accept it. Of course that would very much hinge on her relationship with David and how he might choose to support and empower her to embrace her new self. Essentially a more mature take on the concept is the hope.
That was a lot of words... anyway uhh I know this is implied TF and I'm tagging it as TF still don't sue me please <3 think of it as key art for a potential future comic :)
