All so much bellyaching over Varuk and asking for him to come out with a win fromon the twitter feed. Those people aught to be ignored. There’s an infinite supply of happy endings with hero’s triumphs so just let the punching bag bat boy play out his indestructible ego take his frail bat body on a path of fighting and losing bigly against things that pound him senseless and crying. I ‘enjoy’ this comic annd get that enjoyment of varuk because getting beat senseless if the outcome to be rooted for. In fact I think it happens to quickly and that there should be ‘more’ hits or showings of him being in denial of a loss. I see and like to follow the continuity between where bruises and dribbles of blood show up, when it’s before or after he gets an ear chunk bit off and those funny little exclaimation stars that appear to show where there’s back pain and the like.

It is what it is man. Vauruk is going through some hard times in his life, and it has dredged up other failures and pain from his past. This is not a comic ABOUT Vauruk getting beat up and humiliated, but with posts being infrequent as they are, it probably feels like it goes on a lot longer than if one was reading through the comic in one go. To them, there’s no end in sight. But they don’t see the trajectory that Vauruk and I have planned. I have said it before: I would not even bother putting in all this work if this comic was going nowhere.

Time to hide the unconscious body.
