I keep having trouble with Karl's (Cody's father's) design, because, believe it or not, I didn't want him to be hot. I knew I was getting flak in i.s.o. about it being just a meat market, so I actually purposely created characters *I* wasn't attracted to, just to keep myself from being distracted by them. Karl was one of them.

Years later, now that I...see the draw of the whole daddy thing, I want to redesign him to be more fitting. I mean, half of Cody's genes came from somewhere!

Also, part of his personality is being somewhat ignorant of current culture. Teh hubby decided Nate has told Karl that "DILF" was a meme due to a mistyping of "SILK", so Karl think he's been called silky. I appreciate having a writer for a husband, since he can quickly fill in such blanks.
I also have had trouble placing Karl's voice actor...and with this one, I kind of want to see if Matt Berry can pull off a convincing American accent. Karl needs to sound resonant and brassy, compared to his son's gravelly (think serial killer) voice, and is an impressive singer. But, not British...
