More from 2006! This time the very first ref I ever made of Gogglebeast, my sona who later became their own character known as Alter. You can see where some things stayed the same but where a decent amount has changed! They had a more monstery form even from the beginning, and Alter became that but amplified. I remember putting a lot of symbolism into this, and was genuinely trying to work through some rough shit at the time- the monster form is what I wish I had to bite back all the way back then.

The rainbow legs were a partial throwback to a 'species' I made in 6th grade that I very creatively called rainbowtigers, and still quietly shaking my queer head at my old dA description talking about how it definitely wasn't because I was gay, not that there was anything wrong with being gay, but that's not why the legs were rainbow and also I'm not a furry! You are not fooling anyone, least of all me.)}

Also fun fact: Sometime around 2009 somebody posted this in one of the livejournal 'let's make fun of people's art/sparkledogs' communities and I somehow stumbled across it and it genuinely kind of wrecked me. I very nearly stopped drawing, and it took over a year for me to really get back into it. Don't do that to people! Anyway I'm still drawing sparkledogs, cringe isn't real and if it is I'll just be cringe harder. I hope you all enjoy this lovingly rendered o3o face!
