It's about time I got around to this. This dragon head tutorial will show you a method of drawing a dragon head at nearly any angle!
1. Draw a sphere. What else? :p
2. Draw vertical and horizontal division lines around the sphere where he will be facing. Their intersection point will be point X! This is marked by the red and blue lines on the sphere.
3. Draw a line from the center to the sphere to X, and extend it further. This is the snout guide.
4. Draw the rectangle for the front of the snout. See how the red and blue lines are parallel with one another? The horizontal sides will have the same angle as the horizontal division line where it meets point X. Likewise, the vertical sides of the rectangle will be parallel with the vertical division at X.
5. Flesh it out! The bottom of the rectangle denotes where the mouth is, the chin even further down. Keep the side of the mouth and chin roughly parallel with the snout guide. The eyes go on the horizontal division line, as does the top of the jawbone.
