Hello, handsome! Advanced criticism and professional advice are strongly encouraged.
The work featured in this submission is a graphic pencil rendering of actor Peter Boyle as the monster from the 1974 Mel Brooks film Young Frankenstein. The illustration was rendered on a 12 inch by 9 inch sheet of smooth Bristol.
I wanted to belt out this illustration for the 2011 Halloween season. This is my effort to see if I can still make pencil-only drawings work. As it is, I find myself again annoyed at the light effects caused by putting a graphite drawing in a scanner. I might like to continue refining my pencil drawing skills because working with graphite is worlds easier than working with charcoal. Perhaps I've reached the limit of what I can do with pencils.
Thank you again for visiting, but don't inhale until the tip glows.

Absolutely wonderful. I think that your Marty Feldman was my Desktop background for the longest time:) I really love your choice of subjects because you are very good at picking people with faces I personally find very interesting. If you ever do Bob Dylan give me a shout willya?
Oh, well, that is very wonderful to hear that you've been using my wallpaper for your desktop! Your complements are very kind and I greatly appreciate them. Bob Dylan? Well, I'll give it some thought. If I was to do Dylan, I would have to find a good source. If I ever do one, I'll try to remember to notify you.
Thanks for visiting!
