Here's another Penance sketch; this one is a quick doodle of her catching some sleep in the crook of a tree branch. Granted, she doesn't actually need to sleep, but still...it's probably something she does every now and then.
Sketched earlier this year, inked recently. Total time is 1 hour, 12 minutes.
This picture had popped into my head after seeing some image of a bear in a tree in an old magazine, and the idea of her sleeping in the tree struck me as amusing.

I agree, despite her terrifying nature, that is so adorable, even more so when I saw the thumbnail and thought "is that a horse cock? I wouldn't doubt it seeing she probably scared the guy 'stiff' and threatened if he went soft she would dismember him (though probably will anyways, but he doesn't have to know that ;P)" then realized it was a tree branch XD
My reaction to reading your description regarding the thumbnail:

Not really. She's got all kinds of nifty little tricks she can use, although they are a little different due to her physically being in the same realm she's using the tricks in. For example, she could appear to disappear, when she's actually "stepping between seconds" and moving away. So she could be behind you one moment, and in the blink of an eye, be twenty feet ahead of you. Or in your house.
And, just like the sort of activity usually present in poltergeist cases, she can also hold, throw or pummel victims with enough force to severely damage them, even at a distance of 20-30 feet.
This sort of activity takes a bit of energy, so she either drains it from others around her, or from the victim him/herself.

Wow, i really love this picture. I know ypu said it's just a doodle, bhut the detail on that tree trunk just blows my mind! Penance looks really cute here, and it's nice to see her just relaxing once in a while. I hope this won't be the last time we get to see her off the job!
The actual body of the real kid is still in the ground, probably not looking so good by now. Her physical form is basically a copy of the original girl's body, complete with all the memories right up to the time the original girl died.
Because it's technically a prison, the form doesn't really need food, water, air or sleep. But Penance likes to experience those things sometimes so she does, on occasion, eat, drink and sleep. There are a few instances where she forces the body to rot (in the story), but normally it would appear as you see it here.
I like it when people ask questions like that. Thanks!

I think the whole WTP thing took place in his mind, INCLUDING the 100-acre woods. The characters were all just parts of his psyche. I have no idea what to make of the fact that they all were varying degrees of pompous yet ignorant (Owl, Rabbit), retarded (Tigger, Pooh) needy (Piglet, Roo, Kanga), manic depressive (Eeyore) or just barely in the closet (Rabbit). So if any sketchy-looking pervs showed up hunting for silky young boys to "date 'n' dash", that would also be a part of Christopher Robin's mind. Thankfully, though the kid was f-ed up in the noggin, he wasn't THAT f-ed up.
I wonder would she be the type to 'sleep' but her inner self be able to sense a 'bad person' approaching around the tree, to which she would wake up and drop down upon him, or 'her'(women can be it too, maybe you shoudl show that situation too) as a furry ball of death from above?
There's little things about this picture that I really like. Like her slightly lifted lip and baaaarely curled back toes. It really makes the picture seem much more "real" because she looks like she's truly laying on that branch. I love seeing characters react to backgrounds and objects. Too many people on FA (myself included) don't like to draw backgrounds or props because they're too focused on the character (in many cases, too focused on drawing the cock or pussy) but when someone goes and draws the additional stuff it really makes the picture much more real and immerses the viewer in the environment. That's what I love about your artwork :D
Anyways, the TL;DR of that is: Great work, I love how detail oriented you are!

Thanks! I can relate to the part of your comment regarding focusing on only a certain part of the character: I was guilty of this myself several years ago! I also used to dislike spending too much time on backgrounds, but I think the time I've spent on my mainstream stuff, which is mostly background scenery, has helped broaden my approach to this part of an image. As a result, I now try to incorporate additional details into the backgrounds of my pictures, and I try to show the character directly interacting with the items in the background as well. It takes a bit more time and effort, but it seems to help immensely with the realism. Glad you enjoy the pictures!
