Ok so this is a drawing of a photograph of a painting. Still with me? Ok I own a book called Warfare In The Ancient World, it's written by Richard Humble and it's fairly self explanatory. Inside this book is a wealth of knowledge, including maps, photographs and illustrations.
This picture is based off of a photo of a persian wall painting at Susa and I had started to add colour But didn't finish adding colour Well I might correct that later in photoshop, who knows.
An illustration of a Roman Auxilia soldier in Warfare In The Ancient World was the inspiration for my Roman Wolf Auxiliary aswell.
