Myenia's not feeling well. . . go wish her well on her page! Maybe we can summon up enough furry power to lay on some healing mojo.
In other news. . . I love how terrifying Luther and Zakkra look in this page :P

You know, I love graphic novels like this and many others, but I have always been an idiot, and confused often for the subtle (to me), things like this. Yes, the blurred frames make "perfect sense" for a flashback - and I have never noticed that fact to help make the story, or others, easier to understand without me having to study and re-read sometimes.
You just gave me a golden nugget in understanding a graphic novels nuances.

Very intense page, Luther looks quite....intimidating here. full of anger? or maybe he was ordered to do so to the dragon's and didn't like it but is following the order anyway? really dieing to see the reason now, as this is very out of character for Luther. ( Not that it's a bad thing. :D )
You're using the cartoon media to it's fullest - creating suspense both in the direct action on the pages, and in the curiosity about the story itself in the abrupt changes of scenario.
Lovely use of darkness and fire in the last two, among the best, most dramatic pages I've ever rested my eyes on! Keep up the lovely work!
Regards,
Irwin

Love the writing here. Characterization was a bit wonky previously (basically, everyone not Amon suffered from a certain lack of characterization), but here, the last two panels are perfect. Two short sentences and two small pieces of art tell volumes about Luther's character.
Defining Character Moment?
Defining Character Moment?
Watchmen and Transmetropolitan beg to differ. :)
I'm not really criticizing you, just pointing out that you nailed how to provide characterization in the last two panels. But overall, I enjoy it very much, particularly the gray morality (though I feel Amon's a bit too white knightish, as far as a formerly crippled escort can be).

Now I see why he is called the Defiler. He probably set on fire some Holy ground (Does Luther ever not want to destroy or blame anything on religion/believes? xD) hence the defiling, hence the name.
Now where is Mikhail in all of this. And Amon. Mhhh I wonder.
However I bet that during his stay on the Dark Continent, Luther earned the respect much like Lucuius had in his younger days. Oh that reminds me I need to type an uber long post somewhere. :p
