I used Razer as well till I switched to using Corsair stuff, I will say they do last awhile even through constant use. Their Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite has a 12 key keyboard on the side that can have the position slightly adjusted.
The only problem with Corsair is that you need to get their iCUE program to get the most out of their stuff.

is that iCUE program just basically like the Razer Synapse or is it more involved than that?

I'm not a 100% sure seeing as I never used Synapse, but judging from the screen shots I looked up I'd say they're basically the same thing

I have a logitech. It doesn't have 1-12 buttons, but it does have some buttons. However, if you're really wanting the 1-12 for like a MMO gaming then Razer probably the way to go.

Fair points, the Razer Naga X is currently what I'm running, scroll wheel is jumping and on its last legs. Not the first Razer i've had that's done that.

I use "UtechSmart Venus MMO Gaming mouse 16400DPI".

Lasts me two to three years before it has issues and needs replaced, and at least where I live its super cheap compared to the namebrands.

Oh I've seen that one on Amazon, the weights/balance thing on the wired version is kind of interesting.

I personally don't bother with the weights thing, its the rest that makes it a good mouse for me.

so far this mouse is pretty neat. seems to be a glitch with the 9 & 10 button activating at the same time though

Mine doesnt have that issue, yours might have shipped with a fault in it.
