Amazing isn't it? No qualms about going in and invading countries to catch a group who rammed airplanes into buildings but with all the excess we have in terms of like.. food.. we can't set up arrangements to have people in need of it fed? :P But ya. compassion bias is an epic fail for sure.

I have no problems with people being upset about people dieing, that's cool. But what's absolutely stunning to me is the difference in reaction between regular "kids dieing" and "Kids in Conneticut dieing". When you read about earth quakes in Asia or African kids starving, there is nothing... But when these kids from Suburbia got shot, FA suddenly got SWAMPED with people crying in journals about how horrible it was.

You didn't even KNOW these kids, they were not your family... they were not your friends, you have most likely never even MET them in your ENTIRE LIFE, and yet here you are crying for them like they were your own children, despite the fact that while you were typing your journal, at least 10 African kids died from starvation and disease, having suffered their entire life.

I mean COME ON. Really people? REALLY?

If you're going to cry about lost lives, at least do it properly. Don't just do it when white spoiled kids dies, it makes you look like a complete asshole.

Humans are proven by research even that we are extremely selfish. If it doesn't bother us, we don't care, end of story. So of course, a number far, far greater of emaciated children in Africa then the Connecticut shooting means nothing because its not in their backyard. Now I am not saying it condones the shooter, no, far from it, I'd take the simple approach of dealing with people like that by shooting in head first, ask questions later, but people's priorities are messed up. If they cared about everyone regardless of race, gender, orientation, religion, etc...man the world would be a MUCH better place.

I just wish people would realize how much of an asshole it makes them look when they baww their eyes out about spoiled white kids like it's the tragedy of the year, while at the same time not giving a second thought about the kids in the rest of the world who suffers to death every single day.

Worse yet are those douches that put those emaciated African kids on Fb "like if you are against world hunger<3" like a fucking click will change anything...If they want change, get off their asses and do it. The second it becomes too difficult, the majority of people quit.

well for those places, the real culprit is the corrupted governments. Also they've always been harsh places; they just need to develop.

I am not virtue-signalling here; over the years, I found out that I would have just about the same feeling of despair with any such problem, no matter if the incident is in Sudan or Spain.
