Happy 4th of July
Hey guys, been a while since I did a journal and today seems like as good of a day as any. So yeah, happy 4th of July, hope yall are enjoying your hot dogs, french fries, and burgers, hope you enjoy the fireworks tonight and I hope that you really do stay safe. Those things can be dangerous yo! I should know, might have had a few incidents over the years in my own life with bottle rockets or other things umm, going in directions that were not expected and such. Sorry again to that one neighbor when the rocket decided to do a loop de loop and land in your backyard.
But beyond that and given how our world is today, I'll hop up on my soap box and say a few words.
We are quite divided in this country and those that know me probably know where I fall on that divide and probably by the end most folks reading will know where I fall on that divide as well. We see hate in the street, people believing the worst about each other, and any and all polite discussion seems to be getting rarer and rarer.
I don't much care where you fall on the political spectrum, nor do I care what you think of our government now or in the past. Today is a day where we should celebrate America and celebrate our key ideals. Liberty and Freedom.
I think we are the greatest country in the world just due to several factors ranging from the freedom of speech, to how much we give in charity, and how far we have come from the darker elements of our past. Today we should stand arm in arm and be happy that we enjoy the freedom to speak our minds, assemble and petition the government and if we don't like the folks currently in charge, be it local, city, state, or federal we have the choice to go vote and make our voices heard.
I pray for this country, I pray for our leaders on both sides to do their bests and guide this country towards a brighter future. Not always happy with how that course goes but I still pray for things to be better. So today, I will challenge folks from both sides of the isle, those on the right and left to lets come together and do some good.
The #MAGA is controversial to say the least but I say as Americans lets work together and make it something less so. For the next month lets use this hashtag when we do things like donate blood, volunteer at soup kitchens, help someone move, or just do kind things. Lets work together to make America great one step at a time by being kind to our fellow Americans, help each other out and maybe show folks from the other side of the isle to what we are that we aren't crazy nazi's or insane commies, but people honestly trying to figure out this crazy thing called life and maybe find some common ground. So with that said, tomorrow donating blood for some #MAGA lets do it guys.
Unrelated, I lit this fuse for this firework when I started typing this and it still hasn't *BOOOOOOM* OH GOD! *FLAILS*

I think we've chatted a bit about it and while I don't really agree with either side anymore, I have friends on both sides and I don't see monsters...some loonies to the left of me and some hardheads to the right... but no monsters.
We need to remember that if we let them...whoever them is to each of us, divide us, we've let them win.
Thanks for the kind reminder.
Anyways, even if we do share some political ideas and ideas in general, I still won't take it easy on you, snake!
*Shooting star splash!!!*
