There is even a rule here that at least 12 (?...I think) hours have to be between each reminder...

I thought it might be 8 hours, I'm not terribly sure either, but I do remember there is a limit. Apparently this is not common knowledge however :T

I agree. I know some of them delete it shortly after too as a loophole to get around the reminder limits. It's really annoying and I wish it would stop; once a day is plenty if you are making something that someone wants to pick up.

It's been such a common thing lately! Been more and more grating on my nerves, I want to get notifications for new art I haven't seen yet dammit, not the same generic adoptable five times a day. D:

They are probably hoping to catch eyes of non-followers who browse latest submissions. That could work until latest submissions area gets completely swamped under reminders.
Myself I adopted (heh) a strategy to deal with it: my inbox is constantly a month behind, so all the posts-deleted-reposts I just don't get to see.

apparently they aim for it - to bad they are then unwatched, they should not wonder why
