Thoughts on updating my commision sheet

Commissions:OPEN
Hey everyone! Malv here!
As mentioned before in my previous journal I'd been considering adjusting the listed commission sheet. I dunno if the prices will change. It's more that I know fully well that the commission sheet was made in a rushed effort and i feel that that is shown clearly. I do want to adapt and adjust it to better fit my style however It will take time before I properly update it. For starters I'll probably be changing what will be on my commission sheet (such as adding a sketch tier and probably removing the line art tier). So I'll be throwing out some ideas on what I plan to eventually do and change with the price sheet.
Here is the list of my thoughts
Adding better and clearer descriptions for each tier. (such as how much must be paid up before i will start making the first draft. or specifics on expected times or etc)
Adjusting prices as needed to fit the new art work
removing or reworking current tiers.
Adjusting ToS to fit my thoughts better
Adjust payments:
--Sketches would be 100% paid in full before I work on it
--Most other items would be 50% due before the first sketch is made and then the second half would be paid after approval of the sketch.
--Concerning refund policies. Sketches can be refunded any time prior to when I begin work. The others will be refunded based on the amount of work completed.
Adding new tiers:
--Sketch: This would be a quick sketch idea but also cheaper. Lines would be rough and be probably around the price that line art is currently at These would be really quick sketches and as such payment would be required up front and only minor changes would be made to maintain the consistency with the speed and price. minor changes would be like, adjusting horns, patterns, facial expressions and a few other small oddities. Take a look at the plushie and among us images I recently made to get an idea of what a sketch would be.
--coloured lines/shaded lines: This would essentially replace flats and shaded.
--Full-body/portraits/Icon/stickers: This is an ALTERNATIVE to the coloured lines and shaded lines tiers. Essentially instead of separating my coloured works into shaded or unshaded these tiers would likely come with shading or might have a differing price depending on if you want no, cell, or soft shading. Personally I think I like this format a bit better as the coloured versus shaded options does not really give a proper price for commission that are simpler like portraits or stickers. Obviously this is more than one tier but I grouped them up to show I'm considering changing my commission format.
--Painted sketches/Painted portraits/Painted scenes: This is a tier I'll likely be adding as I do really enjoy painting(yes digital). Essentially the biggest difference from this and the above is that it will be done like a painting. The first sketch would be about the same but after that it would be painted as close to a traditional style as I could manage, utilising minimal layers and not having the clear line art you would see. This would likely be a bit more price than the line art counterparts but not too much so until I've gotten better at painting.
As is obvious I am trying to adjust my prices and tiers so that I can do quick sketches but also have higher tiers that I can invest more time in to make it far more detailed than my previous flats and shaded tiers. I want to push myself to put out quality work not fast work. and I fell like Making adjustments like this will help me compromise by doing fast work with sketches while also having time to work on more detailed pieces.
Also, please remember that all of what is said here is just a consideration at this moment and you are all free to and even encouraged to give me feedback. I adjusted a few things cause I thought they were a bit harsh. For example I wanted to be a bit nicer concerning my refund policies as I realised I was kinda being a bit too paranoid in my previous ToS regarding refunds and other matters. The ToS will likely also experience some changes and rewording to get rid of things that sound harsher than I really meant it. I want my page to be friendly and trusting environment.
Please leave comments if you have any additional thoughts or criticisms on what I am planning. These Changes will likely not be done until I spend a bit more time to improve and produce more art as I also want to build up my portfolio a bit but they will be happening soonish (a month or two from now)
Thank you al for getting this far,
Malv out!
