Hello! I am a California ex-pat now living in the Land of Snow and Health Care. My life consists of cartoons, video games, debt, and a lot of caffeine and alcohol, primarily because I never quite got the whole “adulting” thing down.

I spent two years pursuing a BA in design at fairly prestigious art school, but all they did was take my money, run me in circles, and teach me nothing -- especially about digital art, which is why I went there in the first place. So, after speaking to several graduates who agreed the school didn't prepare them for the real world, I decided to cut my losses and go back to teaching myself. It's an ongoing process, and I still have a LOT to learn, but I've definitely improved more in the past 5 months than I did in the last 2 years, enough that I'm confident enough now to share my work with others.

Expertise and constructive criticism are always welcome! That's about the only thing I miss from art school. But please be patient as well, because I'm definitely still majorly learning. I've been using a tablet for a grand total of...maybe 9 months? Before that it was pure traditional media.
