2020 - An overdose of What The Fuck
There's no other way to describe it. 2020 was a fucked up year.
Though for me personally, it was a crazy year with significant positives and negatives actually, so let's go through the year.
The first somewhat big event of the year for me was on 11th January. A neighbour was celebrating his 60th birthday, and had organized a live band. And since he knows how much of a passionate musician I am, he had arranged for me to join them for a few songs. I played "Ohio" by Neil Young and "Too Good to be True" by Tom Petty with them, and really enjoyed it. And since my neighbour's birthday was actually on the 12th, I started playing "Happy Birthday" at midnight.
One of the most important moments happened on the 11th February. Basically, it was a job interview for job training as a social insurance clerk - I had already done a few job interviews last year. But the next day, I got an e-mail from them offering me the job! I started job training in August, and I've really been enjoying it. Plus, I'm finally making some money.
Then March came. And the coronavirus fucked everything up. Lockdowns.
I did, however, get some new music out, with my new online band. (Not gonna post it here, since I don't want the music to be associated with ABDL stuff for now.)
Also, my other big hobby of sim racing got bigger than ever! A lot of real-life motorsport events were cancelled, so the pro racing drivers went sim racing.
That's also what mainly dominated April and May for me. In late April or early May I actually once was in an iRacing practice session with a Formula 1 driver!
The end of May was notable for two things: one positive - my band released another song; one negative - my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Somewhat luckily, it was a well-treatable form of cancer, he's since completed radiation therapy and chemotherapy, and is on the road to recovery. The doctors recently confirmed he's now tumor free.
Then in June, my sim racing team competed in our biggest ever race so far: the iRacing 24h of Le Mans. We actually were in P3 for a long time, but unfortunately had a very sudden crash with about 90 mins left. We did manage to finish the race, but only in 11th. It was still fun though.
The rest of the year was...rather uneventful to be honest. I've been enjoying work so far. In my free time, I've been doing quite a lot of sim racing, and I've also been working on new music with my band.
Also, despite not being American, I was happy to see that Joe Biden won the election. Trump had to lose. I'm glad the orange cunt will be out on 20th January.
One thing that honestly came up short for me this year was ABDL stuff. I still have one diaper left from the pack I had ordered earlier this year, but haven't gotten to wear it in quite a long time. I hope I can find some time for it soon. I feel like I really need it.
Also, let me just announce that I hate, and I mean absolutely fucking hate, people who don't adhere to the coronavirus-related restrictions. WEAR YOUR FUCKING MASK, AND FUCKING WEAR IT CORRECTLY!! And with vaccinations now becoming available, GET VACCINATED!! If you don't accept those rules, I have no respect for you.
I really hope 2021 will be a better year than 2020. I'll definitely get vaccinated ASAP. For now, the focus is on vaccinating those who are at a higher risk of getting severly sick from the virus, but as soon as it's available for people like me, I'll definitely get vaccinated.
