They did it! The cube seemed to charge nicely, glowing, with magic! And quite the glow it was. There was enough of it for some nanites to shoot out like a zap of lightning, the device already slightly overcharged.
Erakir got swiftly startled at what just happened, but it wouldn't have been that surprising, if it wasn't for Cody acting quite shocked.
Literally, as if the cubical device zapped him. Which it likely did. He didn't receive an electric shock, more a magical one.
All thanks to the catalyst being incapable of holding onto the magic effectively enough and instead it sent it straight through the Technimal who was linked with it.
Swiftly, strangely familiar features started to spread across the zapped fox, height shrank, silver fur turned white and some way more blue than usual.
And Cody could have sworn he felt new things, like wings and some strange antennae with a soft weight forming on it's end and yet these felt like they've always been there.
Although the shock overall scrambled the Technimal's perception, he couldn't tell what was actually happening during his state of dizziness and confusion.
